You land back on the Connected accounts page with a confirmation, and we start importing your recent posts and stats in the background.

Captions: up to 2,200 characters, with up to 30 hashtags and 20 mentions.
After you connect
- We import your recent posts and stats. Your latest Instagram content and its numbers start appearing within a few minutes.
- Reels take a moment to publish. When you post a Reel or a carousel with video, it may show "awaiting platform" for roughly 30–90 seconds while Instagram processes the video, then it goes live automatically. Larger videos can take a couple of minutes.
- You stay connected automatically. Instagram access lasts 60 days, and postme.live renews it in the background, so you rarely need to think about it.
Limitations & what's not supported
We'd rather be upfront about the edges:
- Stories aren't supported — only feed posts, carousels, and Reels.
- Videos publish as Reels and must be 90 seconds or less; longer videos are rejected.
- Caption links aren't clickable (an Instagram limitation).
- You'll need to reconnect if you remove postme.live's access from Instagram, or if you switch the account back to Personal.
Troubleshooting
I get an error that personal accounts can't publish
Your account is still a Personal account. In the Instagram app, go to Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account, choose Business or Creator, then come back and connect again.
Do I need a Facebook Page?
No. postme.live connects to Instagram directly, so a linked Facebook Page isn't required to post or to see your analytics.
My Reel is stuck on “awaiting platform”
Instagram is still processing the video. Give it a minute or two and refresh. If it never finishes, the video may be longer than 90 seconds or in an unsupported format — try a shorter, 9:16 clip.
The links in my caption aren't clickable
That's expected — Instagram doesn't make feed-caption links tappable. Use your bio link, or a link-in-bio tool, and mention it in the caption.
It says my Instagram connection expired
Open Settings → Connected accounts and click Reconnect on the Instagram card. This can happen if you removed access on Instagram's side or were disconnected for a long time.
